The ending of DSoD and Kaiba’s story at large definitely feels very greek tragedy, but the problem is that Kaiba thinks he’s Orpheus and Atem is Eurydice, and Mokuba thinks he’s Eurysaces and Kaiba is Ajax, and the best case scenario is that they’re gonna end up as Odysseus and Telemachus, but the worst case scenario is Mokuba’s just like every other corporate scion whose deadbeat parent ran off with the secretary and never sends a birthday card and I don’t have a classics analogue for that.
