yall are so fucked with your cancel culture shit. and i dont mean like the james charles and pewdiepie and projared drama or anything like that.

i mean when yall bring up shit from 5+ years ago that people never had repeat offenses on after they immediately apologized after being told they were in the wrong.

you seem to forget people grow and change over time. you seem to forget switching your opinions and growing and doing better and becoming a better person is part of being human, part of being a person. like, not to be that guy but a year ago i was an aphobic transmed. am i now? hell no, because i grew up and realized i was in the wrong and changed.

holy shit. people are humans. dont fucking idolize them and rip them apart when you dig up shit they said 5+ years ago that they have never done since. dont place people on pedestals and expect them to be flawless. nobody is. and this isnt even about violent racism, transphobia/homophobia, or predatory behavior either so dont try to twist my words.

I’m begging yall to stop pulling out “”“”“receipts”“”“” from 8 years ago when they were 15, Jesus Christ not everyone was woke at 15. I used to respect the police, are you gonna kill me for that?!

NOBODY is “woke” at 15. nobody knows ANYTHING at 15. get yourselves together. remember there are human beings behind every post. and hope to everything good in the world that your own actions don’t come back to bite you in the ass––because if the way people are behaving now continues, it’ll hit you really hard.

If someone is doing something racist over and over again? Sure. But not something that a person regrets deeply and did as a misguided child.

i had a big track record of some really reprehensible and bigoted shit up until two years ago. i was a right wing little bootlicker.

me from today would rock her shit. i would beat her ass into the floor for the vile shit she said and stood by. she was disgusting. i’m actually surprised i didn’t get my skull caved in.

i am much happier and freer now. if not from the support from my close friends, i wouldn’t be anywhere near the woman i am today. me from two years ago would deny that i am anything but a cis woman. she’d deny that the acronym goes past lgbt. she’d deny that police brutality is a predominantly black issue. she’d deny that she’s neurodivergent. she’d deny the existence of rape culture.

once again, i’d absolutely rock her shit, and if i could go back and change it all, i would.

it matters not who i used to be, rather it matters who i am now. it doesn’t matter that i was uneducated yesterday, it matters that i am educated today. i want to leave it all behind me and start fresh and be the most supportive person i can be.
