mom and auntie are so cute, reblogging day of lgbt+ acceptance posts on fb.

it's been a lot of talk bringing them both to a place where they could understand and encourage. (i worked on auntie because it's possible one of my cousins is not cishet so i've been talking to her for years, just in case.)

i take my role as the "lesbian" of the family seriously. helps that i'm "a celebrity" because i write books.

anyway this goes out to all the people in your lives, that come from other cultures, religions, generations, and learned to dismantle their bigotry. If somewhere, a grandma reprogrammed what she'd been taught for 80 years, and accepts your queerness, that grandma also has to be celebrated.

lf you have people you love who had to change their beliefs so they could keep loving you, I'm glad :)
